FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute
We invite you to MarineQuest, the annual open house of the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI). This award-winning event is an opportunity for you and your family to learn about Florida’s fish and wildlife and FWRI’s exciting research.
A DAY OF FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY
MarineQuest offers events for all ages, including hands-on activities that will help younger visitors learn about the fascinating marine life in our oceans. Kids can even touch sharks and rays, horseshoe crabs, sea stars, spiny lobsters, and other marine critters commonly found in Florida’s waters. Through the age-old Japanese practice of “gyotaku,” or fish printing, they can create their own artwork. Kids can also have their faces painted, learn how to make marine-related origami such as fish and whales, put together a manatee skeleton, and do much more!
